Wood Destroying Inspect Inspections in San Antonio
Helping Future Homeowners Feel Secure with Their Purchases
If you’re in the process of buying or selling a home in the San Antonio area, the lender may require a Wood Destroying Inspect Inspection Report (WDIR) to be completed. And even if it’s not required, it’s always a good idea given that Texas is a hotbed for termites and other destructive wood pests.
At Family Pest Control LLC, we offer honest and thorough wood destroying insect inspections in San Antonio that include the documentation needed to proceed with the sale.
To schedule your inspection, call (210) 762-6991 or fill out our online request form.
What Is a WDIR Inspection?
In accordance with the official inspection procedures adopted by the Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Services, Family Pest Control LLC will perform a thorough inspection to determine:
- If wood destroying insects, including termites and carpenter ants, are present
- If there is evidence of past infestation
- If there are conditions conducive to wood destroying insect infestation such as insufficient ventilation, wood to ground contact, excessive moisture, and wood rot
What Happens After the Inspection Has Been Completed?
Upon completion of the inspection, Family Pest Control LLC will complete the Texas Official Wood Destroying Insect Report and provide documentation to the necessary parties. If termites or other wood destroying insects were observed during our inspection, we can develop a plan of action to resolve the problem and provide an estimate.

- Debris under or around the structure
- Planter boxes abutting the structure
